<div style="text-align: center;">
I decided to make a new version of my Valentine's Day Countdown Calendar that I made two years ago {<a href="http://redberrybarn.blogspot.com/2011/01/valentines-day-advent-calendar.html">link</a> to the other one}. This one definitely has more of a Spring-y look to it. I only wanted to use products I had on hand...so this is what I came up with.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I was inspired by <a href="http://heatherbailey.typepad.com/">Heather Bailey's</a> Nicey Jane Rose fabric and took those colors into my overall design. {I also used a little bit of Amy Butler Ikat fabric} The frame is a cheap-o one from Ikea that is about a 20"x20" size, I think it was around $7. I wrote out "Valentine's Day" and stitched in on some pink felt and then layered fabric, felt and burlap.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/Vday2546x640_zpse9ff1da2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/Vday2546x640_zpse9ff1da2.jpg" width="546" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used several items from <a href="http://www.canvascorp.com/">Canvas Corp</a>: lime mini clothespins, white mini envelopes {I trimmed them down an inch} and burlap. As you can see, it is pretty self-explanatory on how to make it. I also used my go-to glue <a href="http://www.beaconadhesives.com/cgfab.html">Beacon Fabri-Tac</a>, I can't do anything without that stuff!! I used a small tipped Sharpie to write out the dates on the envelopes.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/Vday3640x427_zps7bcde2f3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/Vday3640x427_zps7bcde2f3.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/vday10_zps5115cce6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/vday10_zps5115cce6.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/vday8482x640_zps941e621f.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/vday8482x640_zps941e621f.jpg" width="482" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You can add love notes or special messages to the inside of the envelopes.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/Vday5640x524_zps1dcbdc94.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="524" src="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/Vday5640x524_zps1dcbdc94.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/Vday7640x427_zps8a547c81.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/Vday7640x427_zps8a547c81.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
I figured it out...last week I had a problem with my idea that I first had of using the Studio Calico wood states as a full map, that didn't work out too well {see the <a href="http://www.redberrybarn.blogspot.com/2013/01/projects.html">Link</a> to my first try}. Then I thought of just highlighting the places that we have lived and "Bloomed where we were planted". </div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I bought this frame at IKEA for .99 cents, I should have bought more...what was I thinking! I used some My Mind's Eye scrapbook paper and attached them very simply.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/States_zps8fe2b82d.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/States_zps8fe2b82d.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
{that is our wedding picture in the back...we were married in the Bountiful Utah LDS temple on a very cold and snowy day in November {here is a <a href="https://www.lds.org/church/temples/bountiful-utah?lang=eng">LINK</a> to see more pictures of the temple}. While we were getting our pictures taken, I had lost my shoe in the snow. The photographer caught the moment when we found the shoe and dumping the snow out of my shoe...yes, I was frozen, but it was the most gorgeous day ever!}<br />
<br />
It is also double sided, so I took advantage of that.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/bloom_zpsf8d52bc5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/bloom_zpsf8d52bc5.jpg" width="408" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I cut out words: Bloom, Plant, Grow, from an old dictionary to make the banner. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/Bloomclose-up_zps37b3c3a8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="512" src="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/Bloomclose-up_zps37b3c3a8.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>

I am pleased with how my book page wreath turned out. It is about 15" in diameter, I actually used a chipboard from a cereal box as my base to glue everthing to. Every page is folded accordian style and I used Beacon FabriTac as my go-to adhesive.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/bookpagewreath_zpsb5a24ecf.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="510" src="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/bookpagewreath_zpsb5a24ecf.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I am totally digging the side view. Maybe I should clean my fingerprints off of the mirror...LOL</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/bookpagewreath2_zps0e24df76.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/bookpagewreath2_zps0e24df76.jpg" width="562" /></a></div>
<br />

Enjoy your weekend!</div>

Just a little update to show where I am on my project goals for the week that I talked about on <a href="http://monday./">Monday.</a> I did finish the curtains, but I am just waiting for Mr. Bill to put the new curtain rods up in the kitchen. So excited!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here is my version of the Heart Pictures. This was actually so fun to look through all of my pictures and I realized that I haven't been printing them lately, just saving on the computer. I want to add a little banner that says "Love at Home" or something like that.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I still need to find something to put in that glass container...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/heart_zpsc5997900.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/heart_zpsc5997900.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I wanted to make a quick and simple wreath to hang to the side of the Heart Photos. I just wrapped a straw wreath form with some Tanya Weyland fabric {a part of a stash that I have been hoarding}. Then I made a bow using American Crafts glitter ribbon. I made a fringe using 6 layers of white streamers. Nothing to it really...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/wreath_zps44f6b151.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/wreath_zps44f6b151.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You make this bow by making two circles and layering them, then attach a small circle around the middle. I then cut two long strips and attached them on the back.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/wreathcloseup_zps0347ec65.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/wreathcloseup_zps0347ec65.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
**Annoucing a Project Fail**</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I bought the Studio Calico wood states {2 of them actually} and was under the assumption that the states were all the same size...well, folks...they are not. Look at Texas, Alaska and California for instance...the biggest states are the smallest. So my thought of just attaching them to paper/fabric isn't going to work...and look how cute my hexagon frame is. I am not sure what I will do now, I will have to come back to this. I thought they would be cute for individual pendants or just random on cards/layouts when they make sense.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/states_zpsff007e08.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/states_zpsff007e08.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
A little sneak picture of my front door "wreath", I am waiting for the E6000 adhesive to dry on the back before I hang it. {hint: I used a silver cheap-o charger as the base and homemade paper feathers}</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/frontdoorwreathsneak_zps439639fd.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/frontdoorwreathsneak_zps439639fd.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Some items on my to do list this week...inspired by Pinterest, of course!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I thought that if I post about it that it would help hold me accountable to get these things done.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I have started on the book page wreath already, trying to decide whether or not to put a small mirror in the middle. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I found 2 pans at the flea market {one is a pie plate and the other more of a scalloped edged cake pan} that will be perfect to make into a chalkboard and the other into a shadow box.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I have that exact fabric of the curtains that I want to use in the eat-in-kitchen...got to get this one done asap!!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The fabric covered pots are fun, I may or may not get that one done with week. I thought it would be fun to hold pens, contain my junk or even towels maybe...</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I WILL make the photo heart for sure. I have a niche area in my living room that is perfect for this project and for Valentine's Day.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The framed dots I thought would be a quick project, possibly for Kate's bathroom...we'll see!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I have been wanting to make homemade feathers for a while and I would love to add it to a Valentine's Day wreath.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I have some Studio Calico mini states that I want to put together and frame, another item that has been just sitting on my craft table staring at me. :) {<a href="http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/shop/studio-calico/127120-abroad-states-wood-veneer/?filters=_studio+calico_">Link </a>to the mini states}</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>

<br />
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">Couple of random things:</span><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I love the Vintage Salt Lake Temple Postcard that I found several years ago at my favorite flea market True Treasures in Arkansas. I was digging through a stack of postcards and I about died when I saw this! Of course I had to grab it and run! LOL</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/Templevintagepostcard_zps12500e4d.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/Templevintagepostcard_zps12500e4d.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Kate drew an "abstract" picture for me on the chalkboard in the kitchen, so lovely.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I found these large leaf bowls at Marshall's for $2 each {I wish there were more of them} and a small serving tray that matches my dishes for cheap, too. That day, while I was shopping at Marshall's, I had a chick following me and I swear she was picking up everything that I touched. I would try to go down a different isle and she still followed me...it is weird, maybe just a coincidence also. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Who knows. LOL</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/marshallsfinds_zps2776d093.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/marshallsfinds_zps2776d093.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Ok, my husband was so sweet to me for Christmas. He hates to shop, especially at "girly" shops like Hobby Lobby, but he knows I love it there. So, he took all four kids on a shopping trip {which I avoid at all costs} and bought me 2 blue ceramic decor presents. I was so proud of him. :) They are exactly what I would've picked out. I have been moving them around the house to find the perfect place...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/bluevase_zps767860a0.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/bluevase_zps767860a0.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/blue_zps26521b59.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/blue_zps26521b59.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Enjoy your Day!!</div>

I thought I would show a few pics of the rugs that I bought last week from <a href="http://www.rugsusa.com/">www.rugsusa.com</a>, all I have to say is NEVER pay full price for rugs, wait until they are having a huge sale, I got these for 65% off. They work out perfect in my house because I am trying to get pattern and color into my tan/brown house.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
This rug is supposed to be "soft grey", it has a purplish tone to it...I layered it on our jute rug by the fireplace that has grey stone, hoping that would tie some gray color in. {Radiante Ning Ikat <span id="colorName2">Soft Grey</span> Rug, <a href="http://www.rugsusa.com/rugsusa/rugs/rugs-usa-ning-ikat/soft-grey/200BHBC38A-76096.html">Link</a>}</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/livingroomrug_zps42b683b1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/livingroomrug_zps42b683b1.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Oh my goodness, y'all...our office really needs help! This rug is a great start for sure! It is charcoal grey, even though it looks bluish in this picture. The interesting thing about this rug is the white patterned part is raised a little compared to the charcoal part, just in case you were thinking about getting one. {Homespun Moroccan Trellis <span id="colorName2">Charcoal</span> Rug, <a href="http://www.rugsusa.com/rugsusa/rugs/rugs-usa-moroccan-trellis/charcoal/200MTVS27E-508.html">Link</a>}</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The walls are a putty, khaki color that is on the dark side for me, I would LOVE to add board and battan to it...I will have to convince Bill to help me, which will be difficult {he would rather "chew broken glass" it what he would say to me...lol}</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I would like a gallery wall of pictures on the wall straight ahead with random sizes and frames...very eclectic. To the left is our front room window, to the right is the computer armoire {black shutters on the front}, then to the immediate left the piano is against that wall.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/office_zps93125721.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/office_zps93125721.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
With the chevron rug, it worked perfect in the dining room to layer on the current rug. The blues in real life match more than it looks like in this picture. This table was Bill's grandparents that we inherited, which is a blessing for us because dining room furniture is not cheap. It is a really pretty color and I hope to find new chairs to it eventually...I will be on the look out.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
{Homespun Chevron <span id="colorName2">Light Blue</span> Rug, <a href="http://www.rugsusa.com/rugsusa/rugs/rugs-usa-chevron/charcoal/200HJHK04A-508.html">Link</a>}</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/diningroomrug_zpsc826732a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu158/jaluce/diningroomrug_zpsc826732a.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This table acts like a second computer room and homework table for the boys, which has been nice. We just took Christmas down, so everything seems so bare. I still have the Christmas cards up in the card fixture in the corner. The frame on the buffet table will be actually hung on the other side of the room and will be a seasonal decor piece. I painted the buffet {really it is bedroom furniture, it is great storage for linens} and frame the same color and added a layer of wax on top for it not to be too flat. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This room has that venetian plaster texture to it, so I have been hesitant to put holes in the wall...because how in the world are you supposed to patch holes in plaster? So committing to the hole in the wall here has been hard. lol.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
***Work in progress***</div>

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I know a lot of you out there have been chosing your word of the year, what to focus on in 2013...some of you may not think about it at all, which is ok too. This is my first year to really be serious about what I want to use as my 2013 word...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #274e13; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace; font-size: large;">Happy</span> was one of the first words that came to mind.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I want to be <span style="color: #38761d; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace; font-size: large;">Happy</span> with myself</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I want to be <span style="color: #38761d; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace; font-size: large;">Happy</span> with my family and friends</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I want to be <span style="color: #38761d; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace; font-size: large;">Happy</span> with what I create</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I want to be <span style="color: #38761d; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace; font-size: large;">Happy</span> with my Life</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I want to be <span style="color: #38761d; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace; font-size: large;">Happy</span> with my blessings and recognize them everyday</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I just want to be <span style="color: #38761d; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace; font-size: large;">Happy</span> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Plain and Simple</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #38761d; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace; font-size: large;">Happiness</span> makes the small things big and the hard things easy</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
To be <span style="color: #38761d; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace; font-size: large;">Happy</span> in every aspect of life will benefit me and those around me</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

I would love to hear what your word of the year for 2013!!</div>

So, here I am in my once a quarter blog post...</div>
<div align="center">
I have done several projects around the house that I need to get around to posting about, so hopefully I will be more diligent in 2013!</div>
<div align="center">
</div>
<div align="center">
I took advantage of the <a href="http://www.rugsusa.com/">www.rugsusa.com</a> 65% of sale today and ordered some much needed rugs for our mostly wood floors house. I have been looking and looking for the perfect rugs, colors and especially price. So, I got 3 rugs for the price of 1 essentially. Yeah!</div>
<div align="center">
</div>
<div align="center">
This first one will be in our front office...I haven't decorated at all in there, so I am hoping this is a starting point!</div>
<div align="center">
{Homespun Moroccan Trellis: <a href="http://www.rugsusa.com/rugsusa/rugs/rugs-usa-moroccan-trellis/charcoal/200MTVS27E-508.html"> LINK</a>}</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="275" src="http://cdn2.ha-img.com/p/roomImage/200MTVS27E.jpg" width="400" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I found this picture of the rug from the Thrifty Decor Chick blog and it sold it for me. Her photo was more clear to me on what it looks like in a home that is being lived in. She has so many fun decor ideas on her blog, by the way. {<a href="http://thriftydecorchick.blogspot.com/2012/06/rug-giveaway.html">link</a>}</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="[photo3.jpg]" border="0" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-DH3W8sE3skU/T9_tPu_-aHI/AAAAAAAAVpE/0SIVYh3rJQA/s1600/photo3.jpg" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Right now I am picturing this rug in our master bedroom at the foot of the bed to add some texture in there. Who knows, it might end up in the living room...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
{Homespun Chevron: <a href="http://www.rugsusa.com/rugsusa/rugs/rugs-usa-chevron/charcoal/200HJHK04A-508.html">LINK</a>}</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="" class="fancybox-image" height="348" src="http://cdn2.ha-img.com/p/roomImage/200HJHK04D.jpg" width="400" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This room was designed by Kirsten Krason and I instantly knew I had to have this one also! I love everything that Kirsten does, she has an eye for mixing colors and designs. {<a href="http://6thstreetdesignschool.blogspot.com/2012/07/cresthaven-living-room.html">link</a>}</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
When I saw this rug, I knew I liked the pattern...not sure if it will go in the living room layered on top of the natural jute rug we have or if it will go somewhere else.</div>
<div align="center">
I couldn't find it in a designed room to give me somesort of idea like the other two. I think it will work...just have that feelin'.</div>
<div align="center">

Have a wonderful New Year!</div>

Enjoy your day!</div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5715330215601954327.post-21376451861928410342012-06-15T15:21:00.001-07:002012-06-15T15:21:16.727-07:00Thinking about Mantles...<div style="text-align: center;">
Ok, sorry about these pictures...not very good one of our mantle. The mantle actually wraps around so I have areas on both sides to decorate. I realize that our temple picture is not the right scale, it is covering the plug-in box...just a temporary fix.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />This is a "black hole" area of the living room, light doesn't make it over here very well. I found these lamps at Marshall's last week to help lighting up the mantle. They seemed so big at the store but almost look like dwarfs on the mantle. I was a little worried about what Bill would think of the lamps, but he loves them because they are a really pretty blue/clear color. I'm glad that he approved.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiORdj1BxSlaby5EmX9UEMk9jiSRw_uAhfyAsJc1JHaIJ73lyr6E4wz2bPvxoj7ORr08u9fAUlVpc03oe-vCFSymBrPlXUSETfSxQdOf-X9x8hahnPqxefehZNfTnlttv-dxhbAr26tMROz/s1600/mantle.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiORdj1BxSlaby5EmX9UEMk9jiSRw_uAhfyAsJc1JHaIJ73lyr6E4wz2bPvxoj7ORr08u9fAUlVpc03oe-vCFSymBrPlXUSETfSxQdOf-X9x8hahnPqxefehZNfTnlttv-dxhbAr26tMROz/s640/mantle.jpg" width="536" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /> I didn't realize until I put these pictures on that my lampshade is tilted...lol. I have visions of a few years down the road painting the fireplace an off-white {to match the trim} to lighten it up and keep the mantle stained... I don't know if Bill will go for that or not, he is totally in love with the wood, I am mixed.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
I just want to share a few mantles that I love...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This one is from the talented Layla and Kevin at The Lettered Cottage. They just posted their most recent mantle change today, it is awesome. Click <a href="http://theletteredcottage.net/summer-mantel/">HERE</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="Pinned Image" id="pinCloseupImage" src="http://media-cache-ec4.pinterest.com/upload/255579347572822375_rPdtuKAn_c.jpg" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />I really love that mirror...that would really help reflect light for us on that side of the room! A round mirror would help soften the hard edges of the fireplace.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://pinterest.com/pin/184436547209198559/">Source</a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="Pinned Image" id="pinCloseupImage" src="http://media-cache-ec7.pinterest.com/upload/184436547209198559_rwgvOgup_c.jpg" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />I love how the mirror is long and the frames are lined up on both sides {I know this isn't a "mantle" but I like the design...except for the bust, not into those}. Bill will not let me nail any holes into the wood on the fireplace, so this might have to wait until I can talk him into painting it...</div>

<br />I just adore this new blog I just found called: <a href="http://www.52mantles.com/"><strong>52Mantels</strong></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I think it would be fun to really change the mantle out for every holiday...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Maybe having some kind of neutral piece that I can just change out a couple of things?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

I have been doing a lot of online shopping for fabrics and rugs lately. The UPS guy should deliver all of it by tomorrow...yeah!!! I have got to get this home decorated...it is about to drive me crazy!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;">
I have been a big fan of Anna Maria Horner's fabrics for quite some time. I thought that she has the perfect bohemian/modern style that I was looking for Kate's room. You will have to visit Anna Maria's website...fabulous ideas on there! {click <a href="http://www.annamariahorner.com/">HERE</a>}</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
One of my inspirations of getting bright and bold in Kate's room was from <a href="http://www.bellemaison23.com/">www.BelleMaison23.com</a>. She has some amazing photography of home decor. I really didn't want to stick to 2-3 colors in her whole room, so I thought that a rainbow of colors would be perfect for her and her FiReCraCker personality.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
So, for the Master Bedroom...I wanted to stick with the calming palette, something not too girlie for Bill. I have seen this ikat pattern around the internet and I keep coming back to it, so it was meant to be. The greek design on the right helps bring in the modern vibe I am wanting also. You can click on the pictures and it will take you to fabric.com.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Maybe it is because I am from the South...but I love MONOGRAMMING!!! You bet that I will have some pillows monogrammed in our new bedroom. This picture is from the fabulous Emily A. Bill and I went to a Consignment Furniture place in town looking for bookcases...we didn't find any, but we found a dresser and nightstand for me that will match Bill's nightstand. He told me that he will paint it for me {and he always says that he would rather chew broken glass than paint, so I know that he meant it...} I found this dresser on Pinterest that I want mine to be painted like...</div>

<a href="http://www.rugsusa.com/">www.RugsUSA.com</a> was really good to me on Memorial day...I got all of these rugs for 60% off and free shipping. The natural rugs are 8'x10' and the stripe one is 5'x8'.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The one on the left is for the living room, stripe is for upstairs playroom {future Utah State room} and the bottom one is for the dining room. All for under $400...can you believe that!!!! Yeah!!!</div>

Seriously, I am alive and well!<br />
School ends for 2 of my dudes today and then hopefully my Homeschool Dude will be done either today or tomorrow.<br />
Ready for summer...or am I???<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I still do not have anything on my walls...nothing new to show in my home. I do have one set of curtains done, I need to take pictures soon. I really need someone to hold my hand to decorate my house! I don't know why it is being so overwhelming to me... I have been Pinning my Heart out on Pinterest<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"> </span><a href="http://pinterest.com/jennredberry/"><span style="color: #38761d; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">{follow me!!}</span></a> with so many wonderful ideas and now I will just have to go for it. I am hoping that this summer will give me the time to focus on making these walls into our home. We do not have any big vacations planned...more of a stay-cation summer.<br />
<em> {We now have wood blinds -no more tablecloth curtains-, new gutters and a fence...so I guess you can say that I have been doing a few things around the house.}</em></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here are a couple of pictures of projects that I have made for<span style="color: #38761d; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"> </span><a href="http://www.canvascorp.com/"><span style="color: #38761d; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">Canvas Corp</span></a>, just to have at least something happening on my blog.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I would love to be more creative when wrapping presents for loved ones instead of my ol' stand-by of a bag with tissue...which is great...but I would love to get something like these: {I wouldn't care if the box was empty even...I just like the wrapping!}</div>

We have officially been in our home for a month now and I still haven't hung a thing. I am having a hard time committing to putting holes in the walls. My decor from the previous house is having a hard time telling me where to go...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
When we first moved in, my parents helped put suspension rods with my tableclothes on them to at least have some windows have privacy. The blinds guy came over yesterday to measure...sticker shock!!! We are not putting blinds in this big window in the Living Room, Dining Room and Office. I want plantation shutters for the office {front window} and dining room. That will be waiting for another day...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4wN44ynO0wlyi-uE7T82sqUFw-xfMF1pcYuyHhkKBt69tWOIfQVEe6bWWegnikUfqu-wCD2Cr1l63zfYPmQe7D3HJ5y_FKg0Rs0Wej7QO6KAnu94UvdJZnSTSDQ1MtXh6hyphenhyphenPcDUyPglt9/s1600/LR+kitchen.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4wN44ynO0wlyi-uE7T82sqUFw-xfMF1pcYuyHhkKBt69tWOIfQVEe6bWWegnikUfqu-wCD2Cr1l63zfYPmQe7D3HJ5y_FKg0Rs0Wej7QO6KAnu94UvdJZnSTSDQ1MtXh6hyphenhyphenPcDUyPglt9/s640/LR+kitchen.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For the eat-in kitchen I am just going to make valances on the three windows. I am thinking of trying to make roman shades for the door window on the right in the picture.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3aKPHdEUSPcrWo-LUCaj5oJIubGdTOGEpx5CSx5RFPCtbr_WvAf9CA3570Q6NWwiR_fnYQK-bcqc_Q2JoeityA7U7xiFAz4KM7IpqtAnY3X3EBzU3RETxtFg5mTWT76VlF7z-n8dMPutS/s1600/eat+in+kitchen.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3aKPHdEUSPcrWo-LUCaj5oJIubGdTOGEpx5CSx5RFPCtbr_WvAf9CA3570Q6NWwiR_fnYQK-bcqc_Q2JoeityA7U7xiFAz4KM7IpqtAnY3X3EBzU3RETxtFg5mTWT76VlF7z-n8dMPutS/s640/eat+in+kitchen.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is the fabric that I bought for the kitchen area. When I saw it, I just fell in love with it...it is pricey for my budget but I figured that I needed the least yardage in that area. {via Mary Jo's fabric click <a href="http://maryjos.com/fabrics/gorgeous-pearl-braemore">HERE</a>}</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
This is the fabric for the curtains in the Living Room...another love at first sight for me. I think that it will help add color in there with so much tan/browns going on. {via Fabric.com, click <a href="http://www.fabric.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=28f7904d-f2c5-42b0-9648-2c2e1c2f2d6e">HERE</a> for details} It was a better price point to order 9 yards to be able to make the curtains. I just use hem tape and do an iron-on hem for the curtains, one of these days I will learn to really sew something...it is on my bucket list!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEib_-KYd-oSC9pCS_t6yR_p07LsyD0BvzHc-Luf0fSl4mm-zDXFUZMwdtyU8MSoHbt5uwDVzU5Zb0mg5DRZOuXLjzDQeso8M2WmJ-D29cgMVOtjYSG0BGCdQpaC9sBW18dLxb39NYGzU0wB/s1600/LR+curtains.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEib_-KYd-oSC9pCS_t6yR_p07LsyD0BvzHc-Luf0fSl4mm-zDXFUZMwdtyU8MSoHbt5uwDVzU5Zb0mg5DRZOuXLjzDQeso8M2WmJ-D29cgMVOtjYSG0BGCdQpaC9sBW18dLxb39NYGzU0wB/s640/LR+curtains.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Just another view, it is a pretty open space...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Any ideas for this niche in the wall between the dining room and kitchen? I was thinking of finding a quadrifoil stencil or some kind of geometric design and adding some color there. Bill and I are not in the mood to paint the whole house. The tan is just fine for the next 10 years...:)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I can't believe that it has been over 2 months since I have posted a thing! Well, the reason why is because we are moving and had to get our house ready to sell, holidays, hubby started a new job, I started homeschooling one of my boys, working, 4 kids and etc. maintaining chaos really!<br />
<br />
These are pictures of our current house {we close next week}.<br />
I purged like no other, I sold a lot at the flea market. <br />
I got compliments from the inspector and the appraisal guys how they loved how the house was decorated and it showed nice, pat on the back. Lots of sweat and tears to get it in tip top shape. I am still having tears because my 2 year old thinks it is cool to write on everything, thank you Magic Eraser for existing!!<br />
<br />Entryway: Beadboard with a picture ledge, idea from <a href="http://www.theletteredcottage.net/">the Lettered Cottage</a>.</div>

<br />We have been so blessed, I can hardly talk about it without tearing up {more tears. :)}. We took over 5 weeks to get the house looking perfect to put on the market and<span style="color: #cc0000;"> <span style="font-size: large;">it sold in 6 days</span>!</span> We only had 2 showings and we found out that the other showing wanted to put an offer in after we had already signed a contract! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We are moving only 2 hours away to a wonderful, amazing city...in a different state. Bill and I thought that we would just find a place to rent for a while and then buy later, well that wasn't the case. Last weekend we went on a rental house hunting trip and we were so disappointed with the small & expensive selection. We were driving around thinking that we will have to live in a cardboard box when we drove up to a new subdivision and saw a sign for an open house with 5 bedrooms/3.5...they had us at 5 bedrooms. Needless to say, we fell in love with the house. We had to come back home that afternoon to relieve Grandma & Papa from watching our circus, so we said that we would "sleep" on it. The next afternoon we drove back and signed papers to buy it. Whirlwind. Packers/Movers will be here in 6 days, I feel like I need to do another "purging" especially since I know what our new space will look like. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />A couple of new house pics:<br />
A place waiting for some color!!! The kitchen island will fit 5 barstools around the half-circle countertop. That is what we call our "trough" for the little piggies.<br />

A while back I won a vinyl saying "Family is Everything" from <a href="http://www.thehouseofsmiths.com/">House of Smith's</a> blog. You will have to go check out her blog, she makes amazing projects! I have been going through my craft room and found a thin piece of canvas. I painted it black, then applied the vinyl. I used my crop-a-dile hole punch to punch holes and thread the ribbon through!</div>

</div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;">
This Christmas Season I thought that I could just get rid of most of my Christmas decor and start fresh and new. I have had most of my decor for the 15 years that Bill and I have been married and they are getting a little worn, plus I am getting board of the same ol' stuff. This month, even though it is just the first, is already bringing on new change for our family. I am trying not to feel overwhelmed with what will be on our family's "plate". I guess that my idea of starting over on our Christmas decor will have to wait until next year.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Until then...I will just get on <a href="https://pinterest.com/jennredberry/">Pinterest</a> and DREAM!!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Do I have time to make something like this? {<a href="http://www.etsy.com/listing/86436888/burlap-christmas-stocking-cotton-ruffles?ref=sr_gallery_17&ga_search_submit=&ga_search_query=christmas&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_facet=handmade">source</a>}</div>

Enjoy your First of December Day!</div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5715330215601954327.post-44065332507041667362011-11-25T21:21:00.001-08:002011-11-25T21:29:06.687-08:00Fabric...<div style="text-align: center;">
So, I wasn't one of the brave ones fighting the crowds for Black Friday deals...I just sat in the "quiet" of my own home and got a great deal on fabrics from Fabric.com. They are having a special coupon code that you can save up to 30% off. Let's just say that I saved $60!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is a sample of the fabric that I ordered! I am sooooo excited to work on the projects that I have been dreaming up in my head.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The Navy Chevron will be new drapes for my living room and the navy floral in the bottom corner will be in our eat-in kitchen area. You can see both of those windows at the same time, so I figured to go with the same color scheme would be good.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The brown and white geometric pattern one is for my master bathroom drapes, the walls in there are a light spa blue.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
{Amy Butler, Joel Dewberry, Heather Bailey, Premier Prints, Robert Allen}</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The green oval & red chevron are for Christmas projects. The others are for pillows and random projects around the house.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Hopefully I will get it soon while I am in the mood to "sew".</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I hope that you had a wonderful day!</div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5715330215601954327.post-41330151696536318962011-11-24T08:23:00.001-08:002011-11-24T08:24:15.592-08:00Canvas Corp & myStamp Box Blog Hop<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
And here is what I did with Canvas Corp and myStamp BOX’s products:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used the <a href="http://mystampbox.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=13&products_id=60"><span style="color: #e00000;">Road Trip stamp set </span></a>and I thought of a Day Road Trip that we made last year to the zoo with the kids.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I started out by using Canvas Corp 12″x12″ sewn burlap fabric page as my “foundation”. I took colors from the picture and used Canvas Corp Chocolate & Ivory Zebra, Green & Ivory Dot, Green & Ivory Swirl & Orange & White Dot papers. Canvas Corp offers Canvas in a fabric sheet, so I cut a small rectangle out and cut slits down one side and frayed it a little. I matted the picture using burlap and patterned papers. Then I stamped “Road Trip” myStamp Box stamps and layered it on Canvas Corp e-flute kraft paper. I used Canvas Corp kraft scalloped tag and stamped a postal stamp on it and layered that with another stamp that was a tag shape. I inked all of the edges of everything with Vintage Photo from Ranger Ink. My favorite adhesive to use is Fabri-Tac from Beacon Adhesive, it does perfectly to attach the burlap & fabric to papers.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://canvascorp.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Road-Trip-Layout-2.jpg"><img alt="" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-2929" height="558" src="http://canvascorp.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Road-Trip-Layout-2-1024x986.jpg" title="Road Trip Layout 2" width="580" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">

I have been thinking a lot lately of how grateful I am for so much! One of them being able to play with <a href="http://www.canvascorp.com/">Canvas Corp</a> products. I thought this would be a fun interactive banner to have my family be a part of. It is the simple things, with just thinking of one thing a day it is amazing how the simple things can bring us so much gratitude!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
{details below}</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-2875" height="435" src="http://canvascorp.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Banner-1024x768.jpg" title="Banner" width="580" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I doubled up the twine for a little more stability, I am tempted to do a couple more strands across.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://canvascorp.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/banner2.jpg"><img alt="" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-2876" height="286" src="http://canvascorp.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/banner2-1024x505.jpg" title="banner2" width="580" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Each tag that is nestled in the mini bags have chalkstock tags, which makes it easy to erase and write a word each day.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://canvascorp.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/dad.jpg"><img alt="" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-2877" height="773" src="http://canvascorp.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/dad-768x1024.jpg" title="dad" width="580" /></a></div>

I had the absolute pleasure of working for the first time with the <a href="http://silhouetteamerica.com/silhouetteCameo.aspx"><span style="color: #e00000;">Silhouette CAMEO </span></a> electronic cutting machine. I truly believe that it was sent from Scrapbook Heaven! It was so easy to work with and I love having the ability to customize anything through the software program. I will have to ask Santa for one this year!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<strong>We are excited to announce our special price of the Limited Edition Silhouette Christmas Advent Calendar Shadowbox for $29.99 when you use the code CANVAS at the checkout</strong>. (<a href="http://silhouetteamerica.com/adventCalendar.aspx"><span style="color: #e00000;">http://silhouetteamerica.com/adventCalendar.aspx)</span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<strong>Offer good from November 1st-11th, don’t miss out!</strong></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The shadowbox comes with a free download card to download all of the boxes and/or drawers, as well as the back shapes of the individual cubbies.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Silhouette asked me to make a Canvas Corp version using their shadowbox for an Advent Calendar, how can I refuse! I found that I was able to get familiar with the machine quickly. I think I was smiling the whole time I was designing for this project!</div>

I made a quick 10-minute mini banner today. It has seriously been one of those days with my 2-year old that I had to focus on something that was fast! Mostly because Kate needs 24/7 surveillance, she is into everything! :) I am trying to enjoy this season of having a 2-year old!</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I just love Canvas Corp's Chalkstock tags, especially the triangle shaped one.</div>

I made these Halloween Goodie Boxes this past summer for Canvas Corp's CHA Booth. I just thought they were fun to make!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I made them using Canvas Corp’s Halloween papers that coordinate perfectly with our basic paper lines and an Accu-Cut die cutting system. Just had a few embellishments and it is done! The Halloween words were cut out of the word patterned paper and all of the edges of the papers were inked.</div>
