Sweet Spring Card

First of all, Happy April Fool's Day!
Our alarm clock played a joke on us today and didn't go off...it is funny to
watch a family race around to get out the door in time.
At least everyone brushed their teeth and have their zippers up.

This is a Spring Card that I made using a lot of Canvas Corp products
{pink & white polka dot card, burlap shapes, corkstock, twine}
I am also head over heels for the House of 3 product line with
Pink Paislee.  I am totally into their fabulous look!
Canvas Corp Banner Contest is officially over and the guest judges are casting their votes.  I have been totally inspired by all of the entries...I can't wait to see who the winners are!!

Have a beautiful weekend!

Cards...

Here are a couple cards that I made last week.
This was for Tommy's little friend, Caroline.
I made the rosette barrette out of red satin and added toile with some bling.
{We also got her a Sonic gift card, yum!}
The base of the card is a 6"x6" red square.
Then cut out a 4"x8" strip of black & white paper, fold in half for the middle part that opens up.
I punched a little hole on the side of the top of the card to attach the barrette.
This was a graduation card for a beautiful girl in our ward.  She had an awesome Graduation announcement card.  That picture on the card is of her wearing her red boots.
I gave her the red peony barrette, she will look so cute wearing it!
I have some last minute YW Camp crafts to put together.  I have to be there tomorrow and Thursday for only a few hours, my mom is so nice to be my assistant.  I only had $200 budget to come up with as many crafts as I can for 160 girls!  We were able to stretch it and have 6 crafts for them to make.  I will post pictures.  It is supposed to be yucky weather most of the week, so hopefully I can keep the crafts dry!  I haven't been to YW Camp since 1989 {I only went 2 years and that was all I could handle}!
 I haven't missed it, I'm not much of a camper...my mom on the other hand LOVES it! :)
Have a fabulous day!

Card Crazy...

I've been making a lot of cards lately, I have about 6 more that I really need to do soon!
This one was for a girl that used to be in Young Women's when I was in the presidency.
Time flies.  She waited for her missionary and they were married in the Nauvoo Temple!
This was the card for them.
I made the flower into a barrett and just clipped it on the card.
I told her that she can wear it or attach it to anything!
This is the card for Bill's Mom.  Her birthday is today!
She is a master gardener and I thought "Happy Bee-day" was appropriate! :)
Happy Birthday!
{this is a matchbox style card, the opening is where the lace is}
I made this one "custom" order for Debbie at the flea market.
I took it to her yesterday and then found out the the girl's name was supposed to be "Jessa".
So, I came home real quick and fixed it.  Then it worked out the Bill came home early, so my oldest and I spent about an hour shopping at the flea market...love it!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Birthday Card & a Present

My friend's birthday was last Friday {same as baby K's} and this is the card that I made for her.
{You slide the ribbon off and it opens in the middle}
Baby K was invited to Miss Ella's Birthday Tu Tu party last week and this was for Ella.
I found her gift at Hobby Lobby in the garden section; the snail, froggie and flower.
Then I used a painter marker to write her name on the little chalkboard.
I just thought it was too cute!
Have a delightful day!

I think I made a Large Birthday Card...

Mr. B is in charge of the birthday party for a co-worker today.  If you had the previous birthday...then you are in charge of the next one.
Too bad they don't have a Party Planning Department like on The Office with Angela & Phyllis.
This is about a 12"x12" size.
I got out my cricut machine and cut everything out for it {my letters aren't very straight, oh well}.  I had tons of streamers left over from my St. Patty's project, so I just but ruffles around it.
This is the back side for the co-workers to sign it.
Have a delightful day!

Playroom Window & a Card

Since we have been working mainly on the entryway and craft room, I really haven't been creative everyday.  This is a project I did a couple of years ago for the boy's playroom.
Old window, spray painted it Navy Blue, Vinyl Letters...That's it!
I just sent this to my friend for her birthday, I actually made it a couple of years ago.  I need to make a new stash of cards to have on hand.
Enjoy your weekend!

Card Making: Birthday Card {day15}

Today is my friend's birthday and I made her a quick card.  I missed her b-day luncheon because we took Mr. T lunch at his school.  As I was running out the door, I remembered at the last second to take a picture of it.  {the inside has a real cute large sticker in it with lines on it to write a message...forgot to take a picture of that!  It was a American Crafts Sticker:  click here I love all of their products!}

My little 7 year old Mr. T wanted a Utah State Cake.  He is allergic to eggs, so I made an eggless cake that was delicious!  I think I like it better without eggs.
I am not very good at decorating cakes, let alone just plain ol' icing them.  I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't rip up the cake as I usually do when I am icing it.
I am sure this is elementary compared to a lot of you, I just had to show it because it was my first successful decoration job! :)

This is the Utah State Logo, for those of you that aren't familiar with it.  Mr. T drew me a picture earlier in the week of what he wanted and put it on the refrigerator, so I wouldn't forget. :)
Enjoy your day!

Card Making: Birthday Card {Day 10}

I hosted a little birthday party for my friend {at a Thai Restaurant}.  I used http://www.evite.com/ to invite all of the ladies to the lunch.  It is definitely a great way to invite people if you have never used it before!

I made her this birthday card, I did it in about 8 min., I would've been faster but my scrap space isn't organized yet.  Hopefully, I will be able to move into my new room soon!  Keeping fingers crossed!  We ran into a couple of problems that need to be fixed before we can paint.

Speaking about paint...I had Paint Anixety {is there such a thing?}.  Probably because when I was on the way to go and get the paint I happened to show the color to my hubby and he said that he would like it darker.  It was a soft tan color.  Very basic, no frills.  I thought if I have a light color on the walls then it would help my decor be the main focus.  So, I second guessed myself and didn't get it.  I think that I will stick with my original plan.

My favorite thing...Clear Envelopes!!!  I buy mine at http://www.clearbags.com/.

Enjoy your weekend!
