Kate's Birthday Decor, Part 3

I know, I am slow getting these pictures out of Kate's Birthday...
I actually had this frame hanging on this wall already with
a wreath hanging in the middle.
I have been wanting to change it, so this was a good time to start!

I found this fabulous, large letter "K" at my favorite Flea Market.
It fit perfectly hanging in this frame. Then I took Canvas Corp's mini canvas
round shapes and attached it using FabricTac adhesives all around the frame.
Canvas Corp also sells mesh in a lot of different colors. I cut out round circles to layer on top of the canvas circle. then I use Canvas Corp's fabric sheet to cut out 32 circles of burlap. I used a punch to punch out the scrapbook paper shapes and inked the edges just a little. A simple brad is used to hold it together.
It really added some color and whimsy to the decor.
The circles are not all perfect, I planned it that way!
Have a great weekend!

So Sad...House of 3 is coming to an end!

I was so sad to find out that
is coming to an end.
It was time for the "3" to move on,
but I LOVE their stuff!
I actually can't wait to see what they end up doing next!
They are all amazing designers.
I am going to stock up before they close
their doors for good.
I use their brushes all the time, I need to get this one.
Printable paper!!
Need I say more?  Just fabulous stuff.
I have several of their blog couture backgrounds.
They just have an eye for color.

Have a happy day!

Kate's Birthday Decor, Part 2

***Final Hours of my Shabby Apple Dress Giveaway,
don't forget to enter***

Instead of buying a bag full of cheap thank you party gifts...
you know the toys that last one second!
I decided to have a treat table, so Kate's party
guest took a mini bag that I put a label on and filled it
with candy.  It was a hit!  Even the "older" guests loved
it too!  It was a perfect size for little ones.
I used Canvas Corp mini bags {find here} and punched out a scalloped edged circle
using Canvas Corp Pastel Papers.  You can write anything you want on the labels, I
used a sharpie.  It was a quick project.

I just love vintage scales, I couldn't help myself to use it on the birthday
table display.  My son, Sam, has spent the past couple of days
weighing everything in the house on it.

Her party was so much fun and it was so nice to enjoy it with family.

Kate's Birthday Decor, Part 1

Little Miss Kate will turn 2 tomorrow...that is wild and crazy!
So, I am in the middle of making her birthday decor table to hold
the cupcake tree, treats and more.
I am going to show all of the decor in parts because
I do not have everything done yet, I just couldn't
resist to show you this:

Canvas Corp sells cupcake tree "blanks", they come in
Square and Round shapes.
They also sell most of the Canvas corp products that I
used to make this.
I was surprised on how easy it was to cover the stand, I was making it
harder than it was.  I used the Canvas Corp mini burlap & canvas shapes to make
scalloped edges by cutting them in half.  I love using Fabric-Tac glue
{Beacon Adhesives} to attach everything...even the paper!  I guess you can say
that you should use this glue in a well ventilated area...
I got a little light headed using it.:)
I used the Accu-cut die-cutting system to cut out the cupcake wrappers, birds,
butterflies and labels.  I especially like using the corkstock by Canvas Corp.
I used Cosmo Cricket's Tiny Type stickers to spell out words and her name.
Here is a "bird's eye view" of the stand, all of the papers are Canvas Corp.
I love the pink zebra papers!

So, keep checking back...I have tons more to share.

A Fun Giveaway...

Julie from the Etsy Shop Miss Pretty Pretty
is having a Giveaway of her amazing
Felt Card Table Playhouses
(worth up to $200)
over at the she wears flowers blog.

Miss Pretty Pretty's Card Table Playhouses fit over a standard size card table,
but can be folded up and put away when not in use. {woo-hoo!}
These playhouses are fun and educational. Each playhouse also has
interactive pieces for hours of imaginative and busy play.
Miss Pretty Pretty is so creative and has
thought of even the smallest details for her playhouses.

Aren't these seriously the cutest playhouses you have ever seen!
Julie has pre-made playhouses, as well as patterns to make your own.
I remember when I was little, my mom would find a big quilt and
lay on top of our card table
so we can have fun with our imaginations.
My siblings and I would play for hours in it!
I would've loved something this customized when I was that age.
I know that my kids would love one right now.
I am in love with this fire house themed one!
What a great gift idea for any little one that you know!
 How sweet is this...
I have to make this one for Kate.
Since she is the only girl with 3 brothers in the house,
she has been playing with cars so much
that she has moved all of the matchbox cars
into her bedroom.  She makes the noises and everything.
It comes in a handy bag to store away, a plus in a mother's book!

Check out Julie's amazing
collection of playhouses and more
in her etsy shop HERE.
Then go and enter the giveaway over at Tammy's blog
Enjoy your Spring Day!
